Ashley Miller, Psy.D. - Therapist
Is a graduate of Nova Southeastern University’s Center for Psychological Studies. Dr. Miller has taught a wide variety of classes at NSU’s Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences, including: Intro to Psychology, Interpersonal Communication, Life-span and Human Development, Abnormal Psychology
and Human Learning and Cognition. Dr. Miller completed her clinical training at Statesville Correctional Center where she treated a diverse population of adult male offenders.
Dr. Miller also has experience in the treatment of substance abuse and dependence. She received training at the Guided Self-Change (GSC) Clinic at Nova Southeastern University’s Community Mental Health Clinic while at GSC; she utilized a motivational interviewing style to treat problematic behaviors including: substance abuse/dependence, smoking cessation and gambling. In addition, Dr. Miller’s clinical expertise lies in the areas of treating co-occurring disorders, anxiety and depression, grief and loss, relationships, couples and Family Effective Communication.
