The American Board of Addiction Medicine (ABAM) has addressed the significant need for treatment of client’s with addiction issues through the establishment of a new certification in the field of addiction medicine. Cesar L. Benarroche, MD is among the first physicians in the United States certified by the American Board of Addiction Medicine, a new independent medical specialty board. The ABAM has begun to certify addiction medicine physicians from several specialties. read more
Lifeskills New Facility Provides Residential Treatment in a Relaxed Setting
Deerfield Beach, Florida July 29, 2009
Lifeskills of South Florida, "a place where second chances become new beginnings" has recently built a 28 bed residential treatment facility for adults with addiction and mental health related issues in Deerfield Beach, Florida. The facility occupies 25,000 square feet and employs 35 people. From start to finish the facility was five years in the making. Lifeskills of South Florida is unique in that it does not follow the traditional “Florida model” of treatment. read more
