Lifeskills South Florida encourages residents to adopt a healthy lifestyle; therefore, they participate in a full range of fitness and recreational activities which are made available to them. Residents have access to a gym, swimming pool and basketball. They also receive a membership and transportation to and from a local fitness club. Morning meditation and yoga within the clinical setting and at a local beach are also an integral part of the Lifeskills’ path to healing.

Our residential accommodations allow individuals a safe haven during their recovery and return to improved health and autonomous living. Many clients choose to remain in the local community while attending Lifeskills’ transitional and outpatient services following discharge from residential treatment because of the outstanding supportive structure of the continuum care.

The key benefit of participating in the residential program is that individuals can integrate into the local community while under the supervision and guidance of Lifeskills’ multi-disciplinary clinical team. Our free-standing townhomes are staffed 24-hours a day by our team of behavioral health technicians. This structure allows residents to live in a safe and nurturing environment while learning new coping skills.

Lifeskills South Florida provides transportation for all program-related activities including self-help groups, outside clinical appointments and shopping excursions. Many of the educational, work and other independent living activities are in the local area or close to public transportation.
