“I have one motive for writing this review of Lifeskills South Florida which, is to tell the truth. Lifeskills composed an individualized treatment program that, combined with the meticulous guidance of my treatment team and concierge-like staff, generated the kind of results that exceeded what I had hoped for prior to admission. I was treated with respect and kindness by the staff the whole way through. I would highly recommend Lifeskills to anyone, even to my own family if the situation permitted.” – Grateful Lifeskills Alumnus

“Wow, I can’t even imagine where to begin in my praises of this facility! For starters, I have never encountered a more sensitive and empathetic treatment team that so accurately customizes their treatment to each individual. From Dr. Ockman and my therapist, Sandy on the clinical side, to all the kind and generous technicians on the residential side, Gus, and John, in particular. Lifeskills is by far the quintessential treatment center for anyone struggling with substance abuse or dual diagnosis issues. Highly recommended!” – Grateful Lifeskills Alumnus

“Lifeskills helped me in so many ways. They really changed my life mentality and helped me with my bipolar disorder as well as my addiction. They gave me coping skills for addiction and anger management, which has been great for communication. My relationships with my family have also improved tremendously. The staff has been amazing, both residential (especially Gus) and clinical staff – they are kind, help you with all your needs, and direct you in the most positive way. I would suggest Lifeskills to anyone in need of help in mental health and addiction.” – Grateful Lifeskills Alumnus

What We Treat and How

Seven Clinical Pathways

As the foundation of our evidence-based practices, Lifeskills offers Seven Clinical Pathways, and each is led by a doctoral-level or licensed clinician with additional national certifications in their area of expertise. Based on an assessment of clinical need and diagnosis, each client is prescribed the most appropriate primary and secondary clinical pathways. Throughout treatment, we’re flexible within our clinical pathways to ensure that each client’s recovery journey is right for them.

Levels of Care

At Lifeskills, we offer a range of intensity that helps support each client’s unique clinical needs on their road to recovery. We will work closely with you to find the best fit within our programs.

Residential Treatment
(RTC)

This level of care is for clients who need a safe, structured, and more intensive care environment. The North Campus offers more intensive supervision and stabilization in a home-like environment, while the South Campus provides support and structure in a more social setting.

Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)

Our PHP is a five-day-a-week, therapeutic day program that allows individuals to take the next step in independence from a residential environment while retaining the structured programming needed to continue recovery.

Intensive Outpatient Treatment (IOP)

Our IOP is a 10-hour-per-week therapeutic program that accepts direct admissions, as well as clients that are stepping down from a higher level of care.

Transitional Living

Osceola House offers a transitional living option for residents to learn self-management skills, while increasing responsibility and taking steps towards independence in a supportive environment. Many clients live at Osceola House while attending PHP or IOP, and in addition may be working, volunteering, or attending school.
