As the foundation of our evidence-based practices, Lifeskills offers Clinical Pathways, and each is led by a doctoral-level or licensed clinician with additional national certifications in their area of expertise. Our Collaborative Approach

Our caring professionals will partner with you and your client as well as their family to design an individualized care plan utilizing a comprehensive approach to treatment that addresses their specific mental health condition. Your client will have a dedicated primary therapist as well as a dedicated family therapist. We also offer a robust Family Support Program that includes a Family Alliance as well as a Family Weekend.

How Our Referral Process Works

Our Clinical Partnership and Admissions teams play important roles in communicating with you, your client, and others involved in their care including family members. Communication is key so we provide a concierge level of service by answering questions and guiding everyone through each step efficiently, ensuring the appropriate level of detail.

Make A Referral

To begin the process, either reach out to your clinical partnership team representative, call our Admissions Team directly at 954-953-1742, or fill out the form. Our initial call will focus on gathering key information and answering questions before moving into the pre-admission assessments.

Pre-Admission

During the pre-admission process, our team will work with you to gather specific details we will utilize to determine clinical alignment as well as the required level of care. Financial options for your client and a benefit assessment will also be provided during this process.

At Admission

We know your client’s wellbeing is your primary concern. We are committed to partnering with you to keep you informed with regular status updates. We will notify you when your client has arrived safely and has begun the intake process.

Clinical Pathways

As the foundation of LIfeskills’ evidence-based treatment, our Clinical Pathways include:

1. Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Pathway

Primarily used to treat personality disorders including borderline personality disorder (BPD) and emotional dysregulation.

2. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) Pathway

Primarily used to treat mood and anxiety disorders including obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD)

3. Substance Use Disorder Pathway

Primary modalities include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) for substance use

4. Cognitive Remediation Therapy (CRT) Pathway

Primarily used to treat thought disorders and psychosis

5. Trauma Treatment Pathway

Primary modalities include cognitive processing therapy (CPT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), seeking safety, and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT)

6. Process Addiction Pathway

Primarily treat video game and technology addiction using a four-phase approach

7. Metabolic Fitness Pathway

Targeted to individuals that are at risk of developing cardio metabolic syndrome and includes culinary arts, fitness training, and nutrition coaching (provided in tandem with our other clinical pathways)

At Lifeskills, we strive to create an environment that clinical partners feel comfortable referring their clients to. We believe in each client’s ability to heal and enter long-term recovery from their mental health disorder and/or substance use disorder and understand that to be successful, their clinical partners are a vital part of that recovery.

Our expert treatment team will work closely with you to determine an appropriate treatment plan for your client, and you will receive regular updates on their progress. Additionally, our facilities can provide treatment for clients at various stages of their recovery. We have a curated, thoughtful discharge planning process to support each of your client’s needs throughout their recovery.
