Our Six Clinical Pathways
Our advanced therapeutic programming is flexible enough to evolve and adapt as clients progress through their complex clinical conditions. For example, as a client moves through recovery, their symptomology will change.
Programming at Lifeskills has four primary components, including:
- Evidence-based practices
- Integrated primary and behavioral care
- Life skills training
- Family Support Program

What Our Six Clinical Pathways Entail
Substance-Induced Psychosis:
For a client suffering from substance-induced psychosis, we treat the psychosis symptoms first using the Cognitive Remediation Therapy (CRT) Pathway. Treating the psychosis symptoms prior to the individual entering the Substance Use Disorder Pathway allows them to have better insight into their substance use.
Once the client is stabilized, we transition them to the Substance Use Disorder Pathway.
1. Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Pathway
Primarily used to treat personality disorders including borderline personality disorder (BPD) and emotional dysregulation.
2. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) Pathway
Primarily used to treat mood and anxiety disorders including obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD).
3. Substance Use Disorder Pathway
Primary modalities include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) for substance use.
4. Cognitive Remediation Therapy (CRT) Pathway
Primarily used to treat thought disorders and psychosis.
5. Trauma Treatment Pathway
Primary modalities include cognitive processing therapy (CPT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), seeking safety, and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT).
6. Veterans Treatment Pathway
6. Metabolic Fitness Pathway
Targeted to individuals that are at risk of developing cardiometabolic syndrome and includes culinary arts, fitness training, and nutrition coaching (provided in tandem with our other clinical pathways).
