Michael Gillis, MSW, Executive Director of Lifeskills South Florida will be attending The Silver Hill Hospital Gala being held November 3, 2011 at Cipriani in New York, NY. Actress, novelist and screenwriter Carrie Fisher will be honored at this event. Silver Hill Hospital provides comprehensive inpatient, residential and outpatient programs for adults and adolescents covering the full spectrum of psychiatric diagnoses. Silver Hill Hospital is located in New Canaan, CT.

Professionals Weekend Lifeskills South Florida

Lifeskills South Florida will host a Professionals Weekend November 10-13, 2011 at its’ Deerfield Beach, FL location. The focus of the weekend is training on Mentalizing-based Treatment for Adolescents, Adults and their Families. This forward thinking training will be facilitated by Efrain Bleiberg, MD, Senior Psychiatrist and Past President of The Menninger Clinic, Houston, TX. His book, Treating Personality Disorders in Children and Adolescents: A Relational Approach was published in the fall of 2001 by Guilford Press.
