Lifeskills South Florida is a mental health treatment facility that helps individuals learn to manage the symptoms of their mental health disorders. Established in 1991, our facility has over two decades of experience in helping clients return to productive and fulfilling lives. One of our most effective modalities is our residential treatment program. Our residential treatment schedule is intensive and comprehensive, giving our clients the best chance at lasting health after treatment.
About Our Residential Treatment Schedule
Our residential treatment schedule offers a full day of programming. Every day starts with a nutritious breakfast, necessary medications, and a morning reflection period. This gives our residents time to look forward to their days and reflect on their progress.
Programs vary from day-to-day. Some days begin with yoga or meditation, while others involve nutrition therapy or even beach trips on the weekend. Throughout the day, clients will cycle through group therapy sessions, life skills training, trauma therapy, and other forms of mental health treatment. After dinner, clients have time for self-help groups, grocery shopping, studying, and general personal time. This gives them the chance to unwind after a day of activity.
This intensive residential treatment schedule helps keep our clients occupied and adjust to an active schedule. Not only do they learn skills in our life skills sessions, but they also learn to develop a routine based around our residential treatment schedule. Waking up, eating, and sleeping at the same time every day gives them a structure and schedule to their lives that they can continue practicing once they leave treatment.
