Dr. Winograd’s focus and interest in family therapy combine his experience working with couples and families from a range of backgrounds as well as his passion for teaching Couples and Family Therapy courses at the undergraduate and master’s level. He enjoys working with families in finding the elements of their family life that are working well and building on these strengths to support individual family members through the recovery process. Given his experience using various family interventions including genograms, he is well positioned to intervene in the family system in support of the recovery process. He provides psychological services using an eclectic approach that incorporates elements of Relational Psychotherapy, Positive Psychology, Existential Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and varied System Approaches for Couples/Family Counseling. Dr. Winograd graduated from Seton Hall University’s Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology with a concentration in Multicultural Family Therapy. His clinical experiences include environments in elementary schools, assisted living/dementia care facilities, college counseling centers, community mental health facilities, and outpatient rehabilitation settings.
