Associate Director of Family Services
Ostin came to Lifeskills South Florida with nearly a decade of experience in mental health, marriage and family therapy and substance abuse. After obtaining his bachelor’s degree from Florida A&M University, Ostin obtained his master’s degree from Barry University in Mental Health Counseling and Marriage & Family Therapy. He is a licensed Mental Health Counselor, licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, and a nationally trained and certified EMDR therapist. At Lifeskills, Ostin co-facilitates the trauma program, provides individual and group therapy, and leads the male trauma track where clients strive to gain insight into the maladaptive behavioral, cognitive, emotional and social effects of their trauma. In gaining initial insights into these effects, clients develop individualized coping skills and awareness of the negative effects of their defined traumas.
